Sponsorship · 2027

West Texas builds the future. Put your name on day one.

Lone Star TechCON is West Texas's regional technology conference: one day, four tracks, 200–300 practitioners — the people building and running infrastructure, security, and AI in production across the region. They don't fly to RSA or re:Invent. They drive to Abilene.

Saturday, April 3, 2027 · Abilene, TX · 4 tracks · 200–300 practitioners

Early-commitment rates lock in by October 31, 2026

First-mover pricing on an inaugural event — these rates will not survive year two.

No lists, no scans

How Sponsors Meet Attendees

We don't sell attendee lists — no badge-scan lead retrieval, no post-event contact dumps. Every lead you leave with is one an attendee chose to hand you, which is exactly why it's worth having.

Booth Prize Drawings

Run a free-entry prize drawing at your table; you keep every opted-in entry. All sponsor prizes are drawn at the closing session — must be present to win — so your prize helps hold the room to the end of the day.

The Passport Game

Every attendee gets a passport card at registration; a card stamped at every sponsor table enters the grand-prize drawing. Guaranteed foot traffic past every sponsor, down to the Community tier.

The Career Room

Its sponsor only: pre-scheduled 1:1s with candidates who opted in at registration — no booths, no badge-scan spam.

Sponsors don't buy talks. Every talk at Lone Star TechCON is selected through an anonymous, blind-reviewed call for proposals — reviewers never see names or companies. If your engineers have something worth saying, have them submit; it competes on content like everything else.

Why Sponsor a First-Year Event

First-mover pricing

These rates reflect an inaugural event; they will not survive year two. Early-commitment discounts (~15–20%) lock in by October 31, 2026.

Hiring pipeline, not impressions

Between the Career Room, TSTC's data-center pipeline, and Dyess transitions, this is a recruiting event wearing a conference badge.

A trusted room

No attendee-list sales, no lead-scan spam — community-conference norms that make practitioners actually stop at your table.

Organizer track record

Produced by Rural Capital, LLC. The organizer founded TxOSS, chaired YAPC::NA 2007, and co-organized the first two Texas Linux Fests.
